Solihull opportunity for contractors

20 Feb 13 Construction companies in and around Solihull are being offered the chance to meet prospective client Solihull Community Housing (SCH) at a Constructionline get together.

The event is being held on Tuesday 5 March 2013 at Endeavour House, Kingshurst.

It will give small and medium sized construction companies the opportunity to discuss working with SCH on its upcoming projects.

Contracts being tendered for include:

  • external auditing of gas servicing and maintenance
  • out of hours call handling
  • protection and security of void properties
  • consultant structural engineers
  • supply and installation of metal modular access ramps
  • servicing and repair of lightning conductors
  • fencing
  • painting and decoration.

The event will run from 8.30am to 3pm and will include an introduction to ‘Intend’, SCH’s new electronic tendering system.

SCH procurement manager Anneke Clarke said: “We are committed to supporting the local economy in the areas in which our projects are based, by investing in the local workforce, suppliers and subcontractors. Constructionline’s event not only gives us the opportunity to extend our supply chain but it also helps suppliers further enhance their own business prospects.”
