Constructionline, the government-owned database of contractors, is hosting the free event at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on 24 January to help them win work from local clients.
Manchester-based SME contractors can meet face to face with key procurement decision makers from Walter Carefoot & Sons (Construction) Ltd, Oldham Council, Conlon and Places for People to discuss upcoming construction projects. Short presentations will also be held throughout the day.
Constructionline client relationship manager Michael Waddington explained: “In many cases local councils and other businesses want to give work to SMEs in their area, and in turn the contractors are eager to win these tenders but it’s often hard for each to gain access to one another.
“This event is designed to give local construction companies some valuable introductions as well as helping them to learn about upcoming work opportunities, and how best to win business from the buyers.”
