Wiener Linien is extending the U1 underground line from Reumannplatz station to Oberlaa to provide a direct link between the densely populated areas of the Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung housing estate and the city centre from 2016.
Strabag’s construction work on the two sections two construction sections covers civil engineering, tunnelling and specialist ground engineering. The contract periods are 47 months for one of the contracts and 54 months the other. Construction will begin next month and is scheduled for completion in May 2016.
