Szerelmey launch “Offsite” construction products division

12 Apr 11 Szerelmey has launched a new subsidiary Szerelmey Offsite, which will focus on the company’s pioneering range of construction products manufactured off-site and delivered in-situ to projects.

These include backing walls for external façade work, robust stone raised flooring systems, as well as bespoke, lightweight stone cladding, flooring and suspended ceilings.

The prefabricated products have already been successfully installed at high profile projects including Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, the Rothschild Bank in The City of London and at BBC Portland Place in London. Szerelmey has found the products to be immensely popular with its clients due to the significant benefits they offer including delivery, installation and cost.

Darren Moore of Szerelmey says: “The off-site market has really developed over the last eighteen months which is why we have created Szerelmey Offsite which will focus on our prefabricated products. I believe that we have some of the most innovative products on the market, especially with regard to stone.

“Off-site construction, products and services are ideal for the current economic climate. As prefabricated products are assembled off-site, wet trades are totally eliminated, which significantly speeds up construction and saves costs often making projects more viable where otherwise they might not have been. The products are very easy to install, so a minimal level of skill is required onsite, saving further on labour.

“Szerelmey Offsite will focus on giving clients bespoke solutions to specific construction applications and problems. Clients can specify the exact type of cladding or flooring they require. We can then consider what’s appropriate to the specification and come back to them with a variety of designs and costings before any work begins onsite.

“Because the products are assembled off site they can be quickly laid or erected on busy, restricted sites where the in-situ products are delivered only when needed. Quality control is also increased because nothing is delivered onsite that hasn’t been inspected and then checked again.

“We want Szerelmey Offsite to become a ‘partner’ to the client and assist in solving everyday issues of application while also taking the stress out of transportation, storage and access to the site” concluded Moore.
