The final countdown has begun for the 2011 Executive Hire Show. There are only days to go before the premier hire event opens its doors to the top decision makers in the hire industry.  This year is one show you really can’t afford to miss – it’s the only plant and tool show in the 2011 calendar and has completely sold out of 6000 sq. metres of exhibition space!  There are 115 exhibitors and more new products to see than ever before. The EHS team has put together 40 reasons why missing the EHS this year – you’ll be missing out!

  • Niftylift is making its show debut this year and will be launching its new HR21 Hybrid AWD – which has been shortlisted for the Executive Hire Show Innovation award.
  • JCB will unveil a brand new range of compaction plates designed to reduce Hand Arm Vibration levels while retaining their powerful and long lasting performance.
  • Turners Fabrications Ltd will be exhibiting its new range of double bunded, bulk fuel storage tanks offering the bulk user the ultimate in safe site fuel storage (A must in today’s environment) The show will also see the launch of the 02 Separator.

  • The Executive Hire Show has produced a special ‘Killer Deals’ voucher booklet for the first time. Published with the January/February issue of Executive Hire News, it will allow all hirers visiting the Show next week to make additional savings on their purchases of new equipment and services.

The 24 special deals are only available from exhibitors for the duration of the Show, and include offers from inspHire, Pramac, Euro Towers, Hire Supply Co, Red Band, DeWalt, Brendon, HAE, Higher Concept Software, Demon, Bomag, Seddons, Leach Lewis, KFS Plant, Avant, Armorgard, Hatz and GenSet.

  • KFS Special Vehicles Ltd will have on display an example of their latest Plant & Go vehicle. With a kerb weight of only 1,820kg, the vehicle has proved an enormous success against the established vehicles used within the sector.
  • Russon Access Platforms made its debut at last year’s show (2010) the company is back this year and will be showing its latest range of power scissor lifts, which have a working height of up to 6m.  Managing director, Alan Russon said, “These machines have no batteries, no hydraulics or motors.  They also require virtually no maintenance.  These scissor lifts really are the future of access with a zero carbon footprint.”
  • Hilti is offering visitors the opportunity to see the pre-launch of its revolutionary new breaker, the TE 3000-AVR (Active Vibration Reduction), described as delivering unrivalled breaking performance with the lowest vibration in its class. 

Also making its debut this year is the new 36V TE 6A-AVR cordless rotary hammer drill, offering increased battery performance and giving more holes per charge. In addition, Hilti invites hirers to see some of its 22V cordless tools in action on the stand.

  • The HSC will have on show for the first time the new 13hp Honda engine Chipper Shredder manufactured by GTM, alongside the Barreto Rotovators, Hawk 13hp Stump Grinder and the 9hp Compac Hydraulic post hole Borer.  

HSC also has six exclusive ‘Show Only’ deals that will save customers a lot of money with either special low prices or BOGOF deals on selected core products.

Gary McWilliam, managing director, The Hire Supply Company (UK) Ltd said, “Last but by no means least we are running a competition over the two days to find out who is the fastest driver in our industry by racing on a F1 track in Formula 2010 racing simulator. The winner will have the pick of three fantastic prizes and could choose to have two tickets to this years sold out concert with TAKE THAT at Wembley.”

  • Stihls encouraging cut-off saw users to get ‘water smart’ with new products on its stand. The manufacturer has made its popular TS 410 cut-off saw even better, with the latest model, the TS 410 A, offering electronic water control to make water available at the push of a switch. The tool is a finalist in the Innovation Zone at the exhibition.
  • r2 Access Platforms; is launching its new Hy-Brid SP830, self-propelled scissor lift.
  • inspHire will launch its iPhone & iPad application, which can read live data from the user’s inspHire hire management system.
  • Youngman Group is launching a new addition to its Box Xseries compact scissor range, a self-propelled machine called the X3X-SP Mike Woodcock Youngman’s marketing manager said, “This new machine is probably the most exciting 3 metre self-propelled scissor lift on the market – we are anticipating great interest at the show.”
  • Pop –Up Products is to show its new Pop-Up PUSH series of push-around scissor lifts, which are now in full production.
  • Volvo Construction Equipment will be showcasing its recently launched EC15C (1.5tonne) and EC20C compact excavators.
  • Zarges will showcase its new Teletower, which is described as a telescopic mobile access tower.  It comprises only two parts and can be erected in less than three minutes.  This product has also been shortlisted for an innovation award.
  • Takeuchiis using the Executive Hire Show for the UK exhibition debut of its latest ultra-swing FR mini excavator. Now being introduced into this country, the TB128FR weighs 3360kg
  • Belle Group is launching a new product at the show. Ray Neilson managing director Belle Group said, “After working hard in 2010 to further expand the equipment available from Belle to the UK we will be showing off the Aluminium Access Towers & Plettac Multidirectional Scaffolding which we would advise as an absolute must for hirers who are serious about scaffolding.”
  • Leach Lewis Group will be dedicating around 25% of its stand to the finance arm of the company, Leach Lewis Capital, and the wide variety of funding solutions the company is now able to offer. Leach Lewis Capital has also broadened its portfolio to provide “white label” services to smaller manufacturers, distributors and dealers who have the requirement to provide funding solutions to their customers but do not have the infrastructure or experience to do so.
  • Higher Concept Software will be demonstrating the Syrinx hire management system.  New features to be demonstrated include PDA access and electronic document storage and delivery. Modern scanner technology means that delivery and collection notes, purchase orders and invoices, breakdown notes and, even, manual dockets can be scanned in and retrieved later on demand. Sales invoices can also be delivered electronically to improve efficiency and costs.
  • To celebrate the launch of Dustcontrol’s new aircleaner, the DC Aircube 500, the company is offering visitors to their stand a chance to win a Ferrari Driving Experience at Silverstone race circuit in Northamptonshire.
  • Demon is pleased to be showcasing its latest Tornado Mini-Bowser model at the 2011 Show. The 150-litre compact portable water bowser is now available with a diesel engine, as well as the P1, P2 and P4 petrol options. Demon aims to offer the latest innovations in pressure washers and accessories, and says that visitors should be sure to visit its stand in order to stay ahead of the competition.

In addition, the Show will provide an excellent opportunity for hirers to purchase machines for their hire fleets at a special Show-only price.

  • Greenmech Ltd is offering Lease Hire or Hire Purchase options over 2 - 5 year terms with straight payments over the full term or seasonal payments to suit the season trends. Martin Lucas sales director GreenMech said, “This way the customer keeps the machine for the full term, but only pays for it during a fixed period each year, when they are likely to hire it. On some of our machines we are able to offer a subsidized finance package that gives low cost finance over the full term or we can use the subsidy to offer 0% finance over a 12 month period.”
  • Sumner UK will be displaying its full range of material lifting and handling equipment, specifically designed for the demanding environment of the tool hire industry. The company is also offering visitors some excellent ‘show only’ deals and the chance to win a Sumner 2412 Compact Material Lift in a business card prize draw!

New customers visiting the Sumner stand will be offered a 60-day trial on all Sumner aluminium material lifts (conditions apply). For existing customers the company is offering over £250 worth of accessories supplied ‘free of charge’ with all lifts ordered during the show.

  • HAE has confirmed several events and initiatives to be held during the 2011 Executive Hire Show. As well as having its usual stand, the Association will be running practical surgeries during the exhibition to assist hire companies with specific business advice, and several HAE partners will be taking part.
  • Visitors to the BOMAG stand will be able to get hold of discount vouchers, with a value of up to £1,000, which can be redeemed, during February, against the purchase of any of the products on display from official BOMAG Compaction Centres in the UK. A genuine BOMAG parts discount voucher will also be available to visitors.

Specialists from BOMAG Finance will be on hand to discuss the range of financing options available to purchasers of BOMAG products including 42 month hp agreements with 6 month pause, low deposit schemes, and financial leases.

  • Shannon Plant Sales, is launching the Shannon Solo, which is described as the UK’s first ever production, remote control dumper. With Health and Safety issues representing a major concern for industries that use plant and equipment, the hi-tip machine is designed to significantly reduce operating risks as it can work remotely up to a distance of 100m. 
  • Shindaiwa will be exhibiting for the first time and showing what company director, Andy Munford claims to be, “The quietest and most eco-friendly range of welder/generators available in the UK.” 
  • Codegate will be showing Plant Track, a mobile solution for tracking and recording plant hire deliveries. Visitors to the company’s stand will be able to see the system capturing data and making it instantly available on a web portal.

Also on the Codegate stand will be new accident reporting software for delivery drivers, and Plant Track MV, a mobile software system that is now available as a managed service with a monthly payment structure.

  • ACF is showing the new Paloma, a re-jointing machine suitable for use on joints in stone and brick structures, using a traditional or ready-to-use mortar. This product has been shortlisted for an innovation award.
  • Seddons (Plant & Engineers) celebrates its 60th Diamond Anniversary in 2011. The company invites you to join its ‘stand party’, along with Brownpower staff, to see a new series of generators from Honda Power Equipment, a new Taskman pressure washer with mini bowser, a new tracked Camon mini crusher that fits in a Transit van, multiple Diamond Deals from Stihl, MBW and Norton Clipper, plus a number of Honda Engine Training courses available for hirers.
  • Midland Power Machinery will display a range of Subaru engines and spares as part of its 2011 launch, alongside new machines that are now fitted with Subaru engines as standard. Midland Power reports that this is an exciting time for the business as Subaru products are re-launched into the UK hire market.
  • Ammann will be showcasing new engine alternatives on its range of compaction plates, as well as extended warranty options. Special finance offers will be available throughout the Show, and Ammann Equipment urges visitors to come along and grab a bargain.
  • Dri-Eaz will be showcasing an extensive range of new and existing portable environmental control products, including dehumidifiers, air movers, fume extractors, air scrubbers and moisture meters, aimed at the tool and compact plant hire market. Hard to miss will be the introduction of the all-new BD1000 dual voltage building dryer.
  • Knott-Avonride will be exhibiting its new range of security devices aimed at both the hire and aftersales markets, along with a range of towing accessories for commercial trailers.
  • Endress GmbH is launching its range of innovative generators into the UK and Eire markets. The company says the Duplex alternator powered petrol and diesel models have proved invaluable to fire and rescue services around the world.
  • NC Engineering will be using the show to launch its new 3-tonne capacity hydrostatic site dumper with power swivel.  NC is also launching its new corporate colours at the show. 
  • Nilfisk-ALTO is launching the Neptune 7-72 DE diesel hot water pressure washer, which is a finalist in the Innovation Zone at the Show.
  • Avant Tecno will have a selection of its mini tool carriers and associated attachments on display, including a new wood chipper implement, a vacuum brush, a heavy-duty flail mower and a Leguan 50 work platform. 
  • Timberwolf will exhibit some of the most popular wood chippers and multi-purpose shredders in its range, as used by the hire industry. Being displayed for the first time at the Show will be the TW18/100G 10cm capacity chipper, which fills the requirement for a high-performance machine, in between the TW13/75G and the larger hydraulic models, where outstanding performance is needed at a budget price.
  • PASMA will once again be exhibiting at the Executive Hire Show. The Association will be showcasing its latest tower inspection poster. It also plans to inform visitors of its newly revised and updated training courses, as well as its completely re-launched website, which PASMA describes as the definitive source of information for the tower industry.

So there you have it!  40 very good reasons to make sure you spend at least one day at the Executive Hire Show – there is so much more to see this year – you might need to make it two!  See you on the 9th and 10th February at the Ricoh Arena Coventry.  We have only mentioned 40 reasons to come – there are another 75 more exhibitors when you get there!
