MT Højgaard has taken over the work on the road between Bredsten and Vandel on the route from Vejle and Billund.
The contract involves moving 200,000m3 soil, placing sand and gravel and surfacing with asphalt. MT Højgaard is starting immediately and expects to complete the work in October 2012, which is a relatively short deadline for such a major project.
“We were involved in the original bidding process, so we already know the project,” said divisional director Knud Rasmussen. “Our skilful staff are well in control of the deadline and the project's milestones, so I am confident that we will complete the project at the agreed time.”
