One of the contracts is for a new US$149m medical building at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. The contract award follows a renovation and expansion project that Skanska began in 2012 to expand the hospital’s services and capacity. The new 60,000m2 specialty building will be constructed on the existing hospital campus.
The other scheme is the US$126m construction of residential towers in the seaport district of Boston. Skanska will build the 28,000m2 Watermark Seaport project, which features a six-storey building and another of 17 storeys, to provide a total of 346 rental units.
