Two zone ventilation increases heat recovery to 90 percent

16 Mar 11 Featuring six operating modes and boasting a 93 percent heat recovery rate, the new Duplexvent RK2 from Airflow offers the very latest in heating and ventilating system technology.

Designed for low energy dwellings and Passive houses, this high specification, air-handling unit provides simultaneous heating and ventilation with heat recovery in living spaces and secondary extraction from wet rooms such kitchens, bathrooms and en-suites.

The system improves air quality, reduces energy bills and combats the harmful effects of moisture, damp and stale air. It helps maintain an ambient temperature and incorporates inlet and outlet filters to reduce airborne pollutants.

This unit incorporates circulation and suction radial fans, a counterflow heat recovery exchanger circulation and by-pass dampers. Including servo drives, a hot-water heater, a circulation-air filter with filtration class G4, prefilters from expanded metal mesh and a sound absorbing space for supplied air. The unit pack also includes an outside temperature sensor that automatically adjusts the speed level of the unit.

To save even more energy, a low temperature water heater module is also included to supplement a hot water system.

A choice of digital control systems, which feature a range of internal and external control functions, is available to enable users to suit their own requirements. 

The Duplexvent RK2 extracts up to 550 m3/hr and features a top entry connection and three year warranty.
