Andrew Little, who has been promoted from national sales manager to UK director, said: “While the sectors we deal with have all experienced challenging times due to the economic climate, Viby has continued to grow its market share here. As a result, the time is right to expand our UK operation.”
Trevor Snowball has been recruited from Komatsu as national sales manager.
The new UK premises open next month at the Centre 500 business park in Newcastle-under-Lyme, near Stoke, Staffordshire, which sits near to the junction of the A50 and M6 road network.
The parts depot is promising a minimum 98% parts availability rate with next-day delivery and holds a stock of complete standard buckets and attachments.
Viby supplies attachments for wheeled loaders, excavators and telescopic handlers. Its leading product, the Hy-Tip bucket, has seen particular sales growth recently in the waste and recycling industry, the company said.
