Wates to build Nottingham homes

3 Apr 13 Wates Living Space has been awarded a £4.2m contract for the construction of 54 new homes in Radford, Nottingham.

The 55,000 sq ft development for Nottingham City Homes will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes across two and three storeys.

Construction is set to start in the summer with completion scheduled for the end of 2014.

Mark Johnson, director of property services for Nottingham City Homes, said: “The redevelopment of the former high rise flats site at Radford will provide much needed family homes in this area. The homes are part of a larger programme of 350 new houses which will be owned by Nottingham City Council and managed by ourselves – and we very much look forward to the day our first tenants are able to move in.”

Nottingham City Homes is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the day-to-day management of around 29,000 homes across the city on behalf of Nottingham City Council.
