The company was founded in 1995 by chartered builder Trevor Barfoot in Paignton, Devon. It opened its first area office in Poole, Dorset in 1999, followed by offices in Bristol and Cornwall, to offer afull building construction and maintenance service across the south and west of England.
As managing director, Mr Barfoot brought in Martin Bassett as general manager in 2000, promoting him to operations director in 2005.
Olympus Construction Wessex joined the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Chartered Building Companies scheme (CBC) in 2006.
Simon and Daniel Plant from London Docklands-based insolvency specialist SF Plant have been appointed joint administrators.
