The £10.3m scheme next to the M1 motorway will provide a total of 101 new apartments available for affordable and intermediate rent. They will be built in blocks of 37, 44 and 20 apartments, designed by architect Stanley Bragg. All properties will have a significant proportion of energy supplied by photovoltaic panels as part of a target that 10% of power comes from renewable sources.
Completion is scheduled for March 2012.
