Building magazine said that the contractor’s “commitment to sustainability marked it out from rivals as a truly forward thinking business”.

Willmott Dixon group chief executive Rick Willmott said: “While it’s always nice to receive recognition of our work from our peers, ultimately what matters most is what paying customers think.”
