BPH Attachments supplies LaBounty Legend shears for major project

13 Jun An impressive order of LaBounty Legend shears were supplied for a major demolition project in Swindon. Something you don’t see every day!

In February we were able to play a small part in a huge development project. Supplying one of the UK’s leading demolition specialists, AR Demolition, with no less than four new LaBounty Legend shears.

The order was to suit their excavators and consisted of two MSD1500R Legend shears for their 40-ton excavators, one MSD2250R to suit a 60-ton KMC600 and an MSD3000R to suit their Hitachi ZX890. In total this order weighed over 20,000kg.

Three of the shears were supplied with an OilQuick bracket to suit their existing OilQuick couplers. AR Demolition is an OilQuick UK pioneer for the leading automatic coupler system in efficiency and safety. The system allows hydraulic attachments to be changed directly from the driver’s cab in just 10 seconds!

These LaBounty Legend shears are being used for the demolition stages at the former Honda manufacturing site in Swindon. It is making way for Panattoni Park, a £900m commercial site for manufacturing and warehousing facilities. This significant project is expected to create 7,000 jobs and was visited by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Richard Holt of AR Plant commented, "Owing to winning a prestigious demolition project, we found ourselves in a position where we needed to increase our current attachment and excavator fleet to meet the demands and timescale of the project. As a company, we have rarely drifted from what has historically worked best for us regarding attachments and excavators.

Due to the scale of this particular project and the high demands in particular the shears would be working, LaBounty was our first point of call.

After talking to Matt, Rob and the team not only about the new Legend Range and product support provided, it made the decision even easier to reinvest with BPH and their LaBounty range.

Providing a well-built attachment is one thing, but the product support is huge for us as we all live in a world where things don’t always go to plan.Having the support of Rob and his team and the proactive, how can we help attitude has really been pivotal in the early stages of this project.

The new range of LaBounty shears certainly haven’t disappointed and are leading the way in a new era of attachment maintenance."
