This was a challenging project due to a quick build programme and complex install methodology. However the team rose to the challenge and delivered in excess of £1.5 million pounds worth of metalwork to the brand-new apartment complex. The various elements of works included;
61 Cantilevered balconies.
250 metres of glass balustrade to terrace walkways.
1000m2 of soffit panels to walkways, cantilevered balconies and winter gardens.
500m2 of decking to balconies.
300 metres of steel inset balcony balustrade.
70 metres of fencing to the roof area
Rainscreen cladding including structures.
Parapet and balcony capping.
Stainless steel handrail systems.
Galvanising and powder coating finish throughout.
All of the metalwork components were detailed, engineered and fabricated at our Essex based manufacturing headquarters in Braintree.
The project works were staggered across an 18 month period. Throughout that time we worked closely alongside the clients' site team and in doing so, forged a solid working relationship.
All areas of the client’s business including technical, commercial and construction departments stated they would be more than happy to work with Swann again in the future.
Adam Macintosh, Senior Technical Coordinator on behalf of the client stated:
“Swann provided all of the architectural metalwork for Whitepost Lane, with their team extremely helpful throughout the design and procurement process. Swann produced a quality product and the installation was executed efficiently and on time. Swann also helped us with nearly all of the structural steel requirements and again, the design, fabrication, and installation were delivered well. I would highly recommend them!”
Additionally, Paul Harris, Sales Representative for Swann Group, detailed:
“This was a great project for the Swann Structural & Architectural Division. From design, detailing and fabrication through to installation, the whole team who were involved should be extremely proud of these works with the result a great product that was delivered on time.”
