Role: Senior Civil Engineer
Location: London Bridge, London.
Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Hybrid (work from home up to 3 days a week!).

Role: As a Senor Civil Engineer you will take on project ownership for development related civil engineering projects, covering preliminary and detailed design of levels, drainage, highways and external works.

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies such as the Environment Agency
  • Multi-disciplinary design delivery
  • Attending client meetings and liaising with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Completing Section 278 / 38 highway designs
  • Highway designs to DMRB and Local Authority guidelines
  • Ground Modelling / Earthworks Design to include geotechnical and environmental appraisal
  • Pavement designs
  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • Preliminary and Detailed Drainage Designs for Storm and Foul Water
  • Sustainable Urban Drainage Strategies
  • Highways Drainage
  • Section 106/104 Agreements

Requirements:

  • Proficiency using industry-standard design packages, which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, Causeway Flow and Infodrainage/MicroDrainage
  • A practical knowledge of relevant highway and drainage design standards, guidelines and processes
  • Can multitask and manage a portfolio of projects across various scales
  • Can communicate effectively and professionally with the design team, clients, and contractors
  • Good written skills
  • Understand the multi-disciplinary nature of projects from the planning stage, through to completion

Desired:

  • Chartered or working towards being chartered is welcomed, but not essential
