Job Title: Contracts Manager

Type: Contract / Temp to Perm Basis.

Salary: £55k - £60k, dependent on experience

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Head Office and Projects within the Hertfordshire/ London areas.

Type of Projects: Predominately a Shopfitting company, looking for someone with a very strong Joinery background.

Project Sectors: Shopfitting, Joinery, Hospitality, Retail, Offices, Healthcare, Residential.

Position Overview:

The Contracts Manager with a joinery background is responsible for overseeing and managing aspects of contract execution related to joinery projects. This includes liaising with clients, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in joinery, excellent project management skills, and a strong understanding of contractual obligations and construction industry standards.

Duties:

• Can read rods and drawings.
• Can program work on site to suit agreed site programs and joinery delivery dates.
• Can control labour and subcontractors to program.
• Good history on health and safety and control site diaries, toolbox talks etc.
• Keep track of variations and alterations.
• Attend site meetings and internal program/progress meetings.
• Work to handover meetings on time and aim for snag free.
• Manage running accounts.
• Place subcontract orders.
• Work to contract directors' directions and keep informed.

Requirements:

• Joinery Background, High-End work.
• Adapt to working hours suited to contracts.
• Prepared to work nationally.
• Supply own transport, paid mileage.

Skills:

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
