Salary: From £45,000 DOE
Our client provides comprehensive aircraft maintenance services globally. With state-of-the-art facilities in various continents, they are known for their exceptional skills specialising in extension MRO operations and modifications. They boast a wide database of renowned industry leading airlines and aviation companies, helping to keep them flying and keeping customers safe.
The B1 Engineer will take on an in-depth structures role that will be challenging and extremely rewarding, sitting within the Quality & Inspection department helping coordinate the team's tasks to perform and certify completed high standard work packages during extensive modification and production programmes. With the opportunity to work on the Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 aircraft, this role could open the doors to further carer progression and recognition within the industry.
Responsibilities for the B1 Engineer:
- Function checks during the modification stages and aircraft completion.
- Removal of major structural sections.
- Working to fine tolerances and high standards.
- Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures.
- Assisting in the implementation of modifications from drawings and procedures.
- Stage inspections and final inspection of modifications.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (eg. CAA/EASA).
- Analyse and interpret any technical information related to the aircraft.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience required for the B1 Engineer:
- Extensive and recent experience as a B1 Engineer and hold a B1 B777 and A320 Licence (recent issue).
- Experience in implementing large modifications and strong knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
- Excellent knowledge of interpreting manufactures drawings & SRMs, as well as strong knowledge of relevant regulatory practises.
- Able to perform mapping and feedback of any abnormalities to manufactures.
- Full accountability and ownership of work, reporting any faults or problems as a matter of urgency.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eligible to work and like in the UK
- Subject to UK security Vetting
B1 Licensed Engineer Training requirements:
- RVSM
- ETOPS
- Initial EWIS Group 4; Continuation Training EWIS Group 4
- Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2
- Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors
