Alimak wins Indian order for high-speed hoists

15 Jan 16 Alimak has signed two orders to deliver construction elevators in India during the first half of this year.

The total value is SEK21m (£1.7m) for the new orders, which cover both premium and mid-market construction hoists.

“We are very pleased to see a continued high interest in Alimak´s vertical access solutions in India, an expanding market with a high activity level in the construction sector,” said Fredrik Betts, executive vice president and head of business area construction. “The new high-speed hoists will allow our customers to support the construction of high-rise commercial projects in expanding regions in India. Our customers require reliable, safe and efficient vertical access. With our broad product portfolio, with both premium and mid market hoists, we can offer the right solution, in different performance and price levels for our customers different needs.”

He added that many of Alimak´s construction hoists are based on modular designs, which provide flexibility in both size and capacity for use in a variety of applications, including construction and refurbishment of high-rise buildings, bridges, chimneys and façades. The modular design also mean reduced time for erection of equipment and optimised cost for maintenance.
