The Atkins contract is one of two signed by Saudi Ports Authority president Eng Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri. In total five ports will be developed.
WS Atkins & Partners Overseas Engineering Investments has won a US$2,495,693 contract for the work at King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port. The contract will last eight months.
The second contract – the development of masterplans for Jazan, Dhiba and Yanbu commercial ports – has been signed with the German Agency for International Cooperation, GIZ, and has a total value of US$2,300,266. It too will last eight months.
