Louise Williamson has been appointed by BAM Construct UK as managing director of BAM FM. She joins BAM from Cofely where she was key accounts and operations director responsible for £350m- worth of contracts. Her previous experience includes being a sector director of Balfour Beatty Workplace, and roles in Birse Group: as MD of New Start Ventures and as group director risk management.
Williamson started her professional career as a civil engineer and led site projects before starting to specialise in facilities management.
Graham Cash, chief executive of BAM Construct UK, said: “Louise brings a keen understanding of how an FM business can offer maximum value to clients in an integrated way with a construction business. She has extensive experience of integrated hard and soft FM services and developing client relationships that will be very valuable in leading BAM FM in its next stage of development.”
Williamson said: “For me, the success of an FM business is grounded in great customer service and that in turn starts with top class staff engagement. I see huge potential to differentiate BAM’s FM business through further innovation in digital asset management and that will come from involving everyone and working collaboratively with BAM’s construction and property development businesses.”
