BAM Ritchies wins Togo quarry contract

12 Feb 13 BAM Ritchies has been awarded a contract to carry out primary drilling and blasting of up to 600,000 tonnes a year from a rock outcrop close to the township of Agbelouve, Togo.

The contract for HeidelbergCement company Granutogo is at the Amelekpe Migmatite quarry, which will be developed by BAM Ritchies in benches of 10m to 15m in depth. BAM Ritchies will provide profiling, surveying, drilling and shotfiring services as well as explosives and initiation accessories.

Granutogo will produce aggregates for concrete production to sell to the local construction market and to support existing group cement production within Togo at Lome and a new production facility being built at Tabligbo.
