The accolade has been received from the Thermal Insulation Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (TIMSA)and British Board of Agrément (BBA).who operate the certification scheme in order to promote accurate, objective and consistent calculation of U-values and condensation risk within buildings
The Certificate itself covers calculations relating to roofs, floors and walls and has been awarded to Recticel’s Technical Manager, Andrew Lamburn. “Andrew has worked extremely hard to achieve this recognition,” says the company’s Sales and Marketing Director, Chris Hall. “He is one of the very first people in the UK to receive the Certification and his success underlines the strength of the technical support and guidance which Recticel provides to its customers.”
The Certificate provides customers with independent assurance that Recticel’s skills and competency in providing U-value and condensation risk calculations meet the stringent standards set down by the scheme. It also confirms that the technical resources and quality control systems used by this leading insulation products manufacturer are of a sufficiently high professional standard.
Recticel had to complete a rigorous series of screenings, inspections and investigations in order to satisfy the requirements of the Certification. Twice-yearly audits will ensure that the standard of U-value and condensation risk calculations that are provided remain high.
In a separate development, Recticel has also announced that it is now able to offer its customers advice from its own qualified Code for Sustainable Homes assessor. Along with the new guide to meeting the requirements of the Code which the company recently published, this adds additional strength to Recticel’s position as a leading authority in the insulation sector.
