The TR38160 has a maximum lifting capacity of 3.8 tonnes, compared to 3.5 tonnes in the TR35160, and a maximum lifting height of 15.7m.

The TR38160 is the smallest model in Bobcat's range of four rotary telehandlers, which offer lifting capacities from 3.8 to 5.0 tonne. It is the only one in the series with a two-section boom. The others – the TR45190, TR50210 and TR40250 – have a three-section boom with maximum lifting heights of 18.7m, 20.5m and 24.5m respectively.

The new TR38160 has a little extra rotation that the other models in the series. It can turn through 400 degrees, although not continuously, rather than 360 degrees.

Bobcat also has a range of 13 rigid frame telehandlers up to 4.0 tonne capacity.
