Brand new housing development set to provide new homes in Lewisham

31 May 11 Building Contractor, Mulalley, has teamed up with AmicusHorizon to construct 36 new homes on a brownfield site in Catford.

The £5.06 million partnership is built on the site of the former Tigers Head public house.

The structural frame of the new scheme on Bromley Road, Lewisham is now nearing completion. Directors from Mulalley and AmicusHorizon toured the site, to see the works so far.

The five storey scheme will consist of a reinforced concrete frame structure with underground basement car park.

The development includes a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent homes, including one, two and three bedroom properties.

Properties will be served with photovoltaic panels to achieve a 20% reduction on Co2 emissions. In addition they’ll have ‘green roofs’ and rainwater harvesting, to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 3.

Work started in November 2010 and Mulalley Director John Moore said: ‘We are delighted to be extending our working relationship with AmicusHorizon on such an exemplar scheme.

‘Works are progressing very well, and we will have these new homes ready for the community in May 2012.’

AmicusHorizon’s Regional Development Director Bunmi Atta said: ‘This is a flagship development, built to excellent standards. The development will be an essential contribution to the regeneration of the community. And will provide much needed homes for local residents.’
