The council has published a contract notice seeking a development manager for a comprehensive refurbishment and remodelling project at Camden Town Hall, opposite St Pancras Station.
The plan is to provide commercial office space to let to businesses.
The role of the development manager is to review and refine the council's plans, manage the planning process, procure consultants and contractors, and manage the construction phase up to practical completion, ensuring delivery of the scheme to programme, and within a fixed price.
Procurement of the development manager via a framework contract was investigated but no suitable framework covering the range of services and project was available, councillors were told.
