They were unveiled this week at the Samoter equipment show in Verona, Italy.

As previously reported, Case is renewing 90% of its machines over the next two years, using a combination of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) scrubbers and cooled exhaust gas recirculation to reduce dramatically  particulate matter and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.

The S Series skid steers come with a choice of heavy digging radial boom arms and vertical lift arms for material handling operations.

All feature a new cab that is 25% larger than on previous models. In combination with increased glazing and a revised boom design, this improves comfort and visibility, Case says.

Customers can choose between mechanical or electro-hydraulic controls, with proportional auxiliary controls in the main lever head.

Two models are on show at Samoter: the SR150 and the SR175. The SR150 weighs in at 2.4t and is powered by a 52hp (39kW) engine. With a bucket breakout force of 18.5kN, it has a 50% rated operating capacity of 680kg. The larger SR175 weighs 2.8t and is powered by a 60hp (45kW) engine. Rated capacity is 790kg and bucket breakout force is 31.8kN.

Case is also showing its new 24.7t CX250C and 36.7t CX370C crawler excavators, the 821F wheel loader and the 695ST Construction King tractor loader backhoe. (Click here for previous report on these.)
