DORMA’s new AGILE 150 DORMOTION cushions the impact of sliding doors

3 Feb 11 DORMA, market leader of door controls, automatics, glass and movable walls, has launched a new spring-based cushion system to further enhance its AGILE 150 sliding door system.

The AGILE 150 DORMOTION, brings a new dimension to the design and operation of sliding doors by incorporating an innovative cushioning mechanism that enables the smooth and safe, opening and closing of doors.

Sliding glass doors add a touch of elegance to virtually any interior, incorporating aesthetic appeal, spacious ambience and exceptional functionality. Providing space saving technology, contemporary design and product reliability – all the benefits of the original AGILE 150 sliding door system – the new AGILE 150 DORMOTION now offers comfortable cushioning when opening or closing.

If the door is opened or closed with too much force, the DORMOTION cushioning feature literally springs into action. Just a few centimetres from the end of the sliding panels’ track, the roller carrier is gently cushioned before being spring-aided to allow the door panel to decelerate before resting at its final position. The market leading technology that makes DORMOTION work so effectively is ingeniously concealed within the stylish AGILE 150 designed decorative track. Measuring only 63mm high with a mounting depth of just 64mm, this provides a sleek, modern finish to suit any interior.

With its AGILE 150 sliding door system, DORMA can offer a superb solution for both toughened glass and timber doors. Whilst offering unrivalled convenience, the AGILE 150 DORMOTION system also ensures that the doors are effectively protected against slamming with the use of an end stop, holding the panel securely in place whatever level of manual force is applied.
