The project is located 5km northwest of central Moscow. It involves the construction of a sports and entertainment venue that will include a new 27,000-seat football stadium, a 12,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena, a 30,000m2 shopping centre, a multiplex cinema and 730 underground parking spaces. The facade of the former stadium, dating back to the 1920s, has been partly preserved and will be incorporated into the architecture.
Vinci Construction Grands Projets will develop the design and build the scheme based on the building permit file drawn up by the architects, Manica Architecture (USA) and Speech Architects (Russia).
Preparatory works will get under way in the autumn of 2013 with handover scheduled in the last quarter of 2017.
