Ken Gillespie will step down from the board at the end of July and retire from the business in February 2017.
Bill Hocking, who joined from Skanska in September 2015, will become chief executive of Construction & Investments from 1st August 2016.
Ken Gillespie joined Galliford Try and its executive board in March 2006 on the acquisition of Morrison Construction, of which he was managing director. He was in charge of the construction division before Bill Hocking.
Although Ken Gillespie is only 50 years old, he is only a year younger than Greg Fitzgerald, who ‘retired’ as chief executive last year to become non-executive chairman.
