This new line has three models – the R190, the R220 and the R260, ranging in weight from 3.1 to 3.7 tonnes.
Optional counterweights can be fitted to increase the rated operating capacity from 862kg to 957kg on the R190 and from 1179kg to 1261kg on the R260.
Lift heights reach up to 3061mm on the R190 and 3124mm on the R220 and R260.
“The design of the new Gehl R Series skid loaders is a result of 40 years of market experience and extensive feedback from loyal Gehl equipment owners,” says product line manager Frederik Crul.
In the cab, there is a new side-folding restraint bar and armrests with multiple adjustments. Joystick and hand/foot controls are also fully adjustable. The option of a pressurised sealed cab enclosure and a rear-mounted air filter combine to provides a cleaner, quieter, climate-controlled working environment, Gehl says.
Auxiliary hydraulic controls are located on the joystick. A customisable digital display provides coolant, fuel, battery, environmental, engine regeneration information and other features.
To helkp with maintenance, the level II ROPS/FOPS structure tilts back with the aid of gas struts to expose hydraulic components, and all high-rotation pins have grease points.
Gehl was acquired by Manitou in 2008.
