Hat-trick of commercial projects for Galliford Try

26 Mar 12 Galliford Try has won three new contracts in the commercial building sector worth an aggregate £49.4m.

First, in the central London Galliford Try has been selected by Irish developer Green Property (UK) for a £27m project to create 100,000 sq ft of office space in the St James's Park area.

Secondly, Royal London Mutual Insurance has signed up Galliford Try to refurbish and extend 6,500 sq m of office space at 1A Wimpole Street in a contract worth £8.9m.

And thirdly, in the Midlands, Galliford Try has been engaged by Aviva Investors and Citycourt Estates to construct the new Warwickshire Shopping Park at Binley near Coventry. The £13.5m retail park is expected to complete in January 2013. It will have 24 shops, including Marks & Spencer, Boots and Asda.

Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: "We are delighted to have won such significant contracts in the commercial sector. The London office sector remains an important market for us, while the Warwickshire Shopping Park is yet another landmark project for Galliford Try in the Midlands region."
