IPAF powered access card holders up 8%

14 Jan 14 The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) saw an 8% leap in the number of people taking its courses last year in the UK last year.

IPAF issued 87,635 PAL (Powered Access Licence) cards in 2013, up 8.1% from 81,090 in 2012.

Its various approved training centres had 93,174 candidates going through courses, an 8.6% increase on the 85,821 training applications of 2012.

PAL cards are valid for five years.

IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman said: “IPAF members and training centres are to be congratulated for continuing the success of these industry-led voluntary training programmes and safety initiatives.”
