The development is the first phase of the council’s £190m Stadium Quarter regeneration plan for part of the town centre.

ISG won the contract through the North West Construction Hub.

The new five-storey, 50,000 sq ft Business Incubator is designed to provide offices for up to 100 start-up businesses. The project is being managed by Warrington & Co., Warrington’s partnership for growth, and is set for completion in summer 2015.

The steel frame structure has extensive areas of curtain walling and exterior cladding panels, with a double-height glazed entrance area and ground floor café.

It is targeting a BREEAM ‘excellent’ environmental performance rating through the use of advanced building materials, efficient mechanical and electrical systems and a roof-mounted photovoltaic installation.

Alan McCarthy-Wyper, managing director of ISG’s construction business, said: “We’re delighted to be playing a key role in delivering the first phase of such an important regeneration project in Warrington. The North West Construction Hub provided the efficient procurement route for Warrington Borough Council to bring this vital project to site in the shortest possible time frame and with our joint emphasis on regional legacy, I’m confident that the Business Incubator will prove an outstanding asset to the town and the wider economy.”
