Keepmoat and Strata will build approximately 700 new homes on an 18-acre site at the old Seacroft Hospital in Leeds. Construction work is expected to start later this year.
Homes & Communities Agency area manager Naomi Beckett said: “We know that Keepmoat and Strata will do an excellent job in building not just much needed new homes but will create a new community, turning public land that is surplus to requirements into a great place for people to live.”
Keepmoat and Strata are already working together on projects including the £250m Dominion development on Woodfield Way, Doncaster, which is also on HCA land. The first phase of the project is close to completion and includes 205 new homes. Additionally they are working with Home Group and Hull City Council to build more than 4,000 new homes across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
