London Square bought a half-acre office building at 113 Upper Richmond Road, next to East Putney tube station, in 2011. Having now got planning permission for the redevelopment, it is now readyto start on site and is aiming for completion of the 12-storey development in 2015.
The design by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris is predominantly brick-clad, with deep window reveals and ‘punched hole’ glazing.
The building will be fuelled by a combined heat and power plant. The apartments should achieve the Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 rating, whilst the commercial spaces have been designed to obtain BREEAM Excellent certification.
Adam Lawrence, chief executive of London Square, said: “London Square Putney is an outstanding new scheme in a sought-after part of the capital, which will transform the heart of SW15. We now have a total of nine prime sites underway across the capital and Putney represents what all of our developments have in common - great architecture, thoughtful design and a fantastic location.”
