The new hall of residence is the latest stage in the university’s development, which has seen it invest £200m on major building projects over the past 10 years.
Planning consultancy Turley Associates has been working with the university throughout that time securing permission for:
- new campus buildings for the faculties of Health, Business and Media & Animation
- a new £13.5m Student Hub building
- a £30m sports and recreation facility with new campus entrance
- more than 1,000 new bed spaces on campus
- upgrade of existing departmental buildings.
