At the Sellafield nuclear site in Cumbria Morgan Sindall has secured a five-year extension to the infrastructure strategic alliance (ISA) that was originally awarded in joint venture in 2012. The extension takes the initial five-year contract through to 2022.

The second award is an extension to its 2014 contract with Heathrow Airport as one of five contractors delivering a £3bn programme of upgrades. The extension now takes the contract through to 2020.

Thirdly, Morgan Sindall – in joint venture with Austria’s BeMo tunnelling – has a place on London Underground's £350m Future Stations civil engineering and tunnelling works framework, which will run for eight years.

Chief executive John Morgan said: “Morgan Sindall Group has a strong track record in complex infrastructure projects and we see further growth opportunities in this area. We are delighted to be involved in delivering these exciting schemes and the awards evidence the good momentum we are seeing across our business.”
