5 Apr 12 Atlas Copco Construction & Mining has updated its silent demolition range with a new combi cutter, the CC 950, and two new bulk pulverisers.

The CC 950 is the latest addition to Atlas Copco’s light combi cutter offering and features a 360º hydraulic rotation device which enables attachments to be placed in position quickly and easily. With an operating weight of 920 kg, the CC 950 can be fitted onto carriers between 9 tonnes and 16 tonnes, and exerts a crushing force of 55 tonnes. This makes the CC 950 suited for less demanding demolition work, such as eliminating masonry and lightly reinforced concrete structures.

Heavy hydraulics attachments manager Keith Lambourne said: “The CC 950 combines low weight with optimum crushing performance, and represents a highly cost-effective crushing option due to the fact it can be combined with a smaller excavator.”

Atlas Copco Construction & Mining has also introduced two new hydraulic bulk pulverisers. With their angled shape, the bulk pulverisers (picture below) are designed for secondary demolition tasks, such as the additional reduction of reinforced concrete elements. The new pulverisers are available for carriers of 18-35 tonnes and have broad jaws to ensure structures are demolished with fewer bites.
