The project involves planned investment amounting to €540m (£447m) over the 30-year concession, which has been awarded by the Mexican government’s Ministry of Communications & Transport.
The highway will have four lanes - two in each direction - and the project includes the construction of several tunnels and viaducts.
OHL Mexico’s toll road network totals 435.3km.
