The team of Plenary Group (Canada), Aecom Canada, PCL Construction Management and Johnson Controls will design, build, finance the facility for Calgary Transit.
Plenary Infrastructure was chosen following a competitive request-for-proposals process that began in August 2015.
The project includes a garage for 424 standard buses and a facility for Calgary Transit’s new fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses that will also support  diesel buses during the transition to the new system. There will also be development work involving roads and utilities.
The City of Calgary will now work to finalise contract details with Plenary Infrastructure. The project is expected to reach commercial and financial close in September 2016.
