Development of the 23-acre site on the Lower Rainham Road, to be called Hamlet Park, represents a strategic expansion across Kent for Redrow.

Of the 200 new homes, 150 will be available for private sale, with the remaining 25% being allocated as affordable homes, available through shared ownership or affordable rent. The homes will range in size from two- to five-bedrooms.

All houses will be heated by air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points will be installed on the estate.

Redrow Southern East planning director David Banfield said: “We are delighted with the news of planning consent being granted for our next community in Rainham. This highlights our strategic expansion across the Kent region and we are excited  to build on our presence and relationships with the local community.”
