The former Andersonstown Police Barracks is at the junction of Falls Road and Glen Road was a heavily-fortified landmark during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. It has now been demolished and a new Expo Centre is to be built in its place.
The project is promoted by the Northern Ireland Department for Social Development Belfast Regeneration Office working in partnership with West Belfast Partnership Board (WBPB). The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) are involved in running the design contest.
