The decision enables national infrastructure manager RFF to prepare for a public inquiry, which is foreseen for the end of the second quarter of 2013, in anticipation of a ‘declaration of public utility’ in late 2014.
The ministerial decision also allows RFF to begin the acquisition of land.
RFF said that the decision validates the proposals made to the ministry in January. Consultations and studies had been carried out over the last four years and more than 40% of the route has been modified to take into account the proposals made by local stakeholders.
