The London contract will see the development of 149-151 Oxford Street and 59 Berwick Street into retail, office and residential space. The 64-week programme is due to begin this November. Client is the Cooperative Insurance Society.
In Oxford Shepherd will expand the Clarendon Centre in Cornmarket Street on behalf of Lothbury Investment Management. As part of the work Shepherd Construction will demolish one of the existing blocks and build 50,376 ft² of new units, increasing the retail space on offer by 12,465 ft². This work is scheduled to complete in October 2013.

It also further cements our reputation within the retail sector, particularly after the successful delivery of Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield, a project that Shepherd not only helped restart after it went into administration but then also worked with a new client to successfully complete the work within an ambitious timescale.”
Shepherd Construction opened its London office in 2011. Current projects include a £27m apartment development near Regents Park and the £33m restoration of the Berners hotel for Marriott International.
