The work involves the completion of the final phase of the university’s Advanced Science Research Campus at City College in Manhattan. It is with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, which provides financing and construction services to public and private universities and other institutions that serve the public.
The project includes an interior fit-out of approximately 37,000m2, comprising a four-storey City College of New York Building and a five-storey advanced science and research centre building. There is also a common shared ground floor and a plaza area on the roof of the shared ground floor between the two buildings. The contract also includes sitework and landscaping and other facilities.
The aim is to achieve LEED Silver certification. Work on the project begins this month and is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
