Wates’ £35m design-and-build contract will provide a three-storey manufacturing unit and four-storey office facility with 30,700 square metres total floor area.
Haribo is investing £92m in the new facility, which will supplement production at its existing factory in nearby Pontefract.
Once operational, the new factory will produce 48,000 tonnes of sweets a year.
