The Council requires a single supplier to provide services anticipated to include delivery of Core Highway Surfacing schemes within the Westmorland and Furness Council area. The schemes will generally involve the maintenance and repair of existing highways including, inlay, overlay and partial or full reconstruction. The services will generally not consist of patching or small scale resurfacing schemes although patching may form part of wider surfacing schemes. Works include; the provision and maintenance of a traffic management system to enable the works to take place, the removal of existing road marking and road studs and planing out and disposal or recycling of existing surfacing where required, the laying of new surface systems, supplementary civils works such as drainage, kerbing etc. and the after care and the installation of new road marking and road studs.

estimate. We cannot guarantee to suppliers any business through this contract. Under this

procurement the contractor is required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality and surrounding the place of delivery for the procurement.

Accordingly contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations.
