The first Rototilt® tiltrotator saw the light of day in 1986. It was launched on the market by Umeå entrepreneur Rune Norgren at the company Noreco, who had purchased drawings along with the development and patent rights for the product from an inventor in southern Sweden.

In addition to being the birthplace of Rototilt's own innovations, many international machine manufacturers turn to us to develop new products or functions as well as to verify designs and production methods. Materials experts, designers and production engineers work side by side. We even have our own senior lecturer in tribology – the science surrounding friction, wear and lubrication of surfaces in sliding or rolling contact.

With a built-in sensor in the quick coupler, you get a warning both on the display and with an audio signal if anything is wrong with the tool coupling. Continuous monitoring ensures that the tool remains locked in place. The safety lock also lets you know when tools are worn and require attention.

For even better visibility when connecting tools, SecureLock™ has an LED lamp that automatically turns on when changing tools.

SecureLock™ is an active safety solution that meets and exceeds all applicable safety requirements in preventing accidents caused by dropped tools.
