Asbestos Consultant

Job Description

Our client is looking for a new Asbestos Consultant to join their company that is dedicated to ensuring safe and compliant environments for all. The client specialises in asbestos management, offering comprehensive solutions to clients across the UK. This opportunity is a full time permanent opportunity in and around Kent paying a competitive salary with additional bonuses and overtime available.

What Does the Role Entail?

As an asbestos consultant you will conduct airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting, and clearance works, while developing consultancy skills and maintaining knowledge of asbestos, health and safety, and CDM regulations. They will ensure technical compliance, liaise with the Technical Director, adhere to company procedures, attend team meetings, and complete reports on time. Participation in audit programs and technical review of reports is required. You will also promote the group's services, identify business opportunities, and attend necessary training courses.

What Skills Will You Have?

The ideal candidate must have BOHS P403 and BOHS P404 qualifications or their equivalent, with BOHS W504 being preferred. They should possess demonstrated experience in conducting asbestos surveys and air monitoring, and have experience working with a UKAS accredited company. Familiarity with handheld data collectors is a plus, although training will be provided. A valid UK driving license is mandatory, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with IT and computer applications, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team under pressure are essential. Additionally, a keen eagerness to reach full potential through further training and on-site experience is required.
